This Sunday in Awana is Paint A Rock night. Clubbers should bring a rock roughly the size of their hand. It needs to be big enough to paint but not so big that it is hard to carry.
This week in Awana is Measles night! It’s a lot of fun and the clubbers don’t wind up with any measles. (But I probably will).
This week is Joke night in Awana. The clubbers will be hearing a number of jokes and they are invited to share their own.
This week in Awana is Jelly Bean night. All of the jelly beans we’ll be giving out taste good (no intentionally bad tasting jelly beans).
This week in Awana it is International Dress Up night. Wear something from another country. Also, for boys 3rd grade and older, there is a campout on September 13 and 14.
This Sunday we begin the first regular night of Awana with “Launch-it” night. The items launched are water balloons and the target of the balloons is me. (Cubbies don’t do Launch-It night, at least not with the water balloons).
It’s time for the Awana Fair!. It begins next Sunday at 5PM with a barbecue and continues with the Fair at 5:30. Finally, older children can participate in the Water War after the Fair if they want. (Warning! Some children do get wet!)
Well, we’ve made it to the end of the Awana year! Next Sunday night is the Awards Ceremony. Families are encouraged to attend with their clubbers. We start at the usual time of 5:30 but we won’t go the full two hours. Refreshments will be served at the end and there is also the last chance for the Awana store.
This Sunday is Mother’s Day so there is no Awana. However, for 2nd graders through 8th graders, we have the laser tag event at the Summit on Saturday.
This week is Move Up night. If your clubber will be moving up to the next club next year, they will get a week to experience being in that club. The clubbers that move up are the ones who will be in kindergarten, 3rd grade, or 7th grade next fall.
